Meet the Team

Kimlyn Esser

Executive Director

​

Kimlyn graduated from Northwest Christian University in 2011 with a Masters in Business Administration. She left the for-profit business world to manage a non-profit adoption agency and
discovered her passion. Since being introduced to the adoption world she has redirected her career path and dedicated her life to changing the outcomes for children in foster care through adoption, and committed support for children who age out of the foster care system without being adopted. In her spare time she spends time with her extended family and volunteering with other non-profit organizations. She currently resides in the Springfield area with her husband Bill, her dad John, Bubba
the dogger, and Clarence kitty.

Rosalind Trotter

Board Member

Rosalind Trotter has been working in the adoption industry for over 25 years.  She has worked for the Department of Human Services serving children in many capacities.   Most recently Rosalind has worked as an adoption worker in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Rosalind enjoys writing, traveling, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Ann Penny

Board Member

Ann has spent many years working and volunteering in the 

non-profit sector.  She strongly believes in the need for permanency and stability for children in our society.  Ann has a strong background and experience in fundraising, team building, and networking.  

In her spare time Ann enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with her rescued cat Grace.

Erika Smyth
Board Member

Erika joined our team in 2018 as a member of the Board of Directors.  In 2021 she decided she wanted to take a more hands on role in helping children in finding their forever family and joined the agency as an Adoption Worker.

Erika holds an Master of Business Accounting and brings personal knowledge of childhood trauma to the team.  She is passionate about helping children live their best life.  Erika lives in Coburg and enjoys reading, spending time at the coast, and being mom to her two daughters.
